The issue of disproportionate quarantine supplies in many low-income countries in Africa and Central Asia due to the COVID-19 pandemic and various aftereffects of the pandemic are problems that should be solved through transnational organizations.
The purpose of the campaign “ON THE WAY”, a global charity to help overcome the issues above, is to create various contents centered on art and music by collaborating with famous artists to convey inspiration and warmth to those who are worn out from their mundane lives, just like the 1985 grand campaign “WE ARE THE WORLD”, which was a project that included top artists such as Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, and Bob Dylan.
According to the organizer of the “ON THE WAY” charity campaign, “This campaign aims to give hope to those barely getting by regardless of culture, race, religion, language, and generation, that there is a better world awaiting them.”
The title song of first single album, which is scheduled to be recorded in Korea, the United States, and Ireland, will be released as an album and soundtrack. The soundtrack of the “ON THE WAY” global campaign will be released around December, and most of the proceeds from album sales will be donated to several non-profit global charities including the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and World Food Programme (WFP).
Grammy Awards winner Venus Brown will be leading the ON THE WAY campaign as the general producer, and Timbaland – winner of 7 Grammy Awards – will participate as the music director in composing and arranging the campaign song, raising expectations for the album.
Venus Brown mentioned that “The participating artists—Camila Cabello, DJ Khaled, Justin Timberlake, will.i.am—will also join this campaign to support the vision to spread positive influence through music.
In addition to previously announced participants, other world-famous artists will contribute to the recording, and the production process will later be released as a documentary. The next group of participating artists will be announced on the website: www.ontheway.org.
